Black Elegance with a Touch of Shine – How I Decorated My Textured Coaster

My textured paper pulp coaster finally got a new finish! I created the base earlier using a technique I shared in this DIY post, where I pressed in a honeycomb-inspired texture.

This time, I wanted to give it a bolder, more graphic character. I painted the entire surface in deep black, which beautifully highlighted the texture and gave it a raw yet elegant feel. To add a bit of contrast and light, I filled the indented areas with glossy glass paint. The result? Subtle reflections that catch the light and give the piece an almost jewel-like quality.

This simple combination of rawness and shine fits perfectly into the CozyRawness aesthetic – organic yet modern.
