Making Paper Pulp Samples – Part 4: the potato masher

Another thing from the kitchen found its way into my studio. This time it’s a regular potato masher – but the pattern it left behind is surprisingly interesting. Bold, geometric, slightly industrial – almost like a vent or mechanical imprint.

You probably have a masher like this somewhere in a drawer. And maybe yours has a different grid or shape – so you might end up with a completely different effect.

This kind of texture could be used for decorative tiles, collage elements, or just as a base for further experiments.
